A business taxi on invoice, no credit card per ride

You do not have to pay ride by ride. Business taxi transport here runs through your own booking portal with your regular taxi company or dispatcher, and you pay afterwards on account. This is what that arrangement looks like:

  • Your own booking portal with your regular taxi company or dispatcher
  • Booking in your guest’s name and phone number; your guest needs no account
  • One detailed invoice with a VAT breakdown at the end of the month
  • Commission on guest transfers according to your own agreements with your taxi company or dispatcher
  • No subscription: the platform is free for business clients
  • No surcharge on the fare: you pay the rate of your taxi company or dispatcher
  • Fixed prices per route by agreement, which then apply automatically to every booking
  • Your own reference or PO number when booking, shown again on the invoice
  • Two-step verification on the portal logins, if your security policy requires it

What the invoice shows

One itemised monthly invoice: for each ride the date, the ride number, the route with your guest’s name, your own reference and the amount. At the bottom the subtotal excluding VAT, the VAT and the total including VAT. The fare follows the rate of your taxi company or dispatcher. The platform adds nothing on top.

Passenger transport by taxi carries the reduced VAT rate of 9%, and that is how it appears on the invoice. Whether you can reclaim that VAT depends on your own situation; that is a question for your accountant. What your taxi company or dispatcher agrees with its drivers is not on your invoice: you pay the fare and nothing on top.

Every ride can be followed live while it is under way and stays in your dashboard afterwards, so the invoice holds no surprises.

Hotel in Amsterdam

Reception books a ride to Schiphol for a guest through the portal of its regular dispatcher. The dispatcher has no car of its own free at that moment and sends the ride to an independent driver who is online nearby. The driver drives, the dispatcher keeps its customer happy and earns commission, and the driver has an extra ride.

Cruise ship

A ship arrives with hundreds of passengers who need transport. One taxi company can never do that alone. Through the network the rides are divided among dozens of independent drivers, all visible live on the map.

Artist with crew

An event agency books transport for an artist and their crew from hotel to stage and back. The company passes part of the rides on to regular, approved drivers from the network.

Conferences, trade fairs, artists and groups

It is exactly when everyone needs transport at the same time that a single taxi company gets stuck. For business transport in and around Amsterdam, the network absorbs those peaks.

Conferences and trade fairs

At a conference or trade fair you arrange transport for speakers, delegations and attendees, from hotel to venue and back, often within the same time slot.

Artists and crew

For artists, their crew and management you arrange VIP transport with regular, approved drivers you use more often.

Groups

You book group transport in Amsterdam as several rides side by side, with each ride followed separately on the map.

Hotels and companies

Daily rides for guests and staff, airport transfers and last-minute rides that still have to be arranged.

Each of these occasions has its own page on what exactly is involved. For a programme with many rides in the same time slot, that is our Dutch page on event transport; for a guest or board member who is driven separately, it is a private driver or the chauffeur service. If your guest is flying in or out, the route to the airport is under Amsterdam airport taxi, and if a cruise ship docks, on our Dutch page about the cruise terminals in Rotterdam, Amsterdam and IJmuiden. What they all share is the handling on this page: booking through your own portal, following the ride live and one monthly invoice afterwards.

Frequently asked questions

Can I book a taxi on account?

Yes, you can pay for a taxi afterwards. You agree with your regular taxi company or dispatcher that your rides go on account; they then book your rides as invoiced rides and at the end of the month send you one itemised invoice with a VAT breakdown, with all the rides of that month on it. Welltransfers is not in the middle: you pay your own dispatcher.

Can I agree fixed prices per route?

Yes. You agree a fixed price with your regular taxi company or dispatcher for the routes you use often, for example from your hotel to Schiphol, and it then applies to every booking from that address to that address; you see it in your portal before you confirm. This can also be done per postcode area instead of per address, and instead of fixed prices you can agree your own meter rate with them. A fixed price is all-in for the ride, so no night or airport surcharge is added. Waiting time is charged separately, though: nobody knows in advance how long a driver will have to wait.

Can I add a PO number or cost centre to the ride?

Yes. Your taxi company or dispatcher switches it on and decides what the field is called, for example PO number, cost centre or booking number. From then on the portal asks for it with every booking, and a ride without a reference cannot be saved; on a return trip the outward and return rides get the same one. The reference appears with the ride in your dashboard, on the invoice for that ride and on the monthly invoice, so you can find a ride by your own number and not just by ours.

How do I arrange a hotel taxi for my guests?

Through your own booking portal. You book the ride with the guest’s name and phone number; the guest needs no account and does not have to install anything.

Which clients is the portal meant for?

For hotels, companies, cruise lines, artist management and event agencies. You book through your own portal with your regular taxi company or dispatcher; if they cannot drive a ride themselves, it is offered through the network to a reliable driver.

Can I also arrange airport transfers?

Yes, you plan airport transfers and business rides in a few clicks, last-minute too.

Can I arrange transport for a conference or event?

Yes. You plan transport for conferences, trade fairs and events in advance through your portal. Rides that your regular taxi company or dispatcher cannot drive themselves are offered to approved drivers from the network, so a peak does not have to end in a no.

How does group or VIP transport work?

You split a group into several bookings across several cars; each ride can be followed separately on the map and goes on the same monthly invoice. For VIP transport of artists, speakers or management you can agree with your taxi company or dispatcher that regular, approved drivers are used.

Can I pay with a mobility card?

No. A mobility card such as the NS-Business Card, XXimo, Reisbalans or Shuttel does not work here; for that your taxi company would have to be connected to that platform. The alternative is riding on account: you get an account with your regular taxi company or dispatcher, you book through your own portal and you receive one invoice from them with a VAT breakdown. For most clients that also cuts out an intermediary.

Do I earn commission on rides as a hotel?

You can, and you arrange it directly with your taxi company or dispatcher: whatever you agree about guests you bring in, you settle between yourselves and it does not go through the platform. In your portal you see your rides, and you get the monthly invoice from your taxi company or dispatcher; the commission agreement itself appears on neither.

Can I make two-step verification mandatory for our logins?

Yes, and your taxi company or dispatcher switches it on for you, not one of your own colleagues: portal logins all have the same rights, so otherwise one login could switch it off again for all the others. Once it is on, the portal asks for a code from an authenticator app after the password; we do not use SMS or email codes. Anyone who wants it just for themselves can also switch it on separately. If someone loses their phone, your dispatcher sets up the second step for that login again.

Which vehicle will turn up?

When you book, you see what the ride costs for each vehicle type, so you choose yourself. With five passengers or more, or more than four pieces of luggage, a larger vehicle comes automatically, and luggage costs nothing extra. One booking takes up to 8 passengers; you book a larger party as several rides, or you let your dispatcher plan it if they need to arrive together. For a group that wants to travel together in one vehicle, a bus or coach with driver is also possible.

Who drives my guests?

A driver from your regular taxi company or dispatcher, or an independent driver from the same network. A driver can only take rides once the platform has approved their application and their car. Every driver is expected to look well presented and to drive a clean, undamaged, smoke-free vehicle; complaints are recorded. For regular guests or management you can agree with your taxi company or dispatcher that the same approved drivers are used.
