No platform commission on your own ride
0% of the fare
On the rides you drive yourself you pay the platform nothing: no percentage of the ride, only the subscription. If you pass a ride on to a colleague yourself, you pay 5% of the commission you receive for it.
Your own fares and agreements
Drivers, companies and dispatchers keep their own fares, their own customers and their own commission agreements.
From your wallet
The subscription comes out of your wallet every month, with its own invoice. Welltransfers settles the commission after every ride, also through your wallet.
Quickly earned back
One fixed amount, without surprises. With one extra ride a month through the network, the subscription has usually paid for itself.
For drivers: lower subscription, fixed percentage
Networks with the same model charge, on top of the subscription, a percentage of the commission you charge a colleague, depending on volume. At WellTransfers you pay no percentage on rides you drive yourself; if you pass a ride on to a colleague, you pay a fixed 5% of the commission you receive for it. The difference is shown below.

Frequently asked questions
See also how sharing rides works, and if your question is not listed below, the frequently asked questions have the answers about invoicing, cancelling and what we deliberately do not do.
What does WellTransfers cost an independent driver?
€24.99 a month excluding VAT (€30.24 incl. VAT, of which €5.25 VAT (21%)). The monthly fee runs per month from the day you are approved and comes out of your wallet, with its own invoice. If there is too little in your wallet on that day, you cannot go online until it has been paid, and that happens automatically as soon as there is enough in it again. Until 1 March 2027 you pay €0 per month: a promotion for every driver, including drivers who sign up now.
Does WellTransfers take a percentage of my rides?
That depends on who drives the ride. If you drive it yourself, you pay the platform nothing: 0% of the fare. If you pass a ride on to a colleague or the network, you pay 5% of the commission you receive for it.
Do taxi companies and dispatchers pay for WellTransfers?
No subscription. They pay 5% of the commission they receive (excl. VAT) on every ride they hand out to a driver through the platform. On top of that only the costs of their wallet, if they incur any: €0.35 per top-up with iDEAL; paying out is free.
What does it cost hotels and other business clients?
Nothing. Hotels, companies, cruise lines, artist management and event agencies book for free through their own portal with their regular taxi company or dispatcher. The fare follows the rates of that taxi company or dispatcher.
Can I cancel the subscription monthly?
Yes. The subscription is cancellable monthly: no annual contract and no notice period of months. You pay per month and stop whenever you want.
How does the subscription relate to the commission?
Those are two separate things, and both go through your wallet. The monthly fee comes out of your wallet every month, with its own invoice. The commission is settled after every ride: the driver who carries out the ride pays it from their wallet, and Welltransfers puts it in the seller’s wallet, minus the platform fee. Every week there is one invoice with all the rides on it.
Can a passenger pay me in the car, and what does that cost?
Yes. In the app you let a passenger pay with a QR code or a payment link, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and with iDEAL once Stripe has switched that on for your wallet. The money goes into your wallet. You need an active wallet for this, and one payment is at least €1 and at most €1,000. The costs are what Stripe charges for that payment, plus VAT. That depends on the card the passenger pays with, so the app shows roughly what it will be beforehand, and the exact amount after the payment.
What does the wallet cost?
Opening a wallet is free. Topping up with iDEAL costs €0.35 each time and paying out is free. You decide when to pay out: nothing goes to your bank automatically, so you do not have to top up again and again for the commission on your next rides. Stripe holds new money for 7 days the first time and 3 days after that. The costs of your wallet go on a separate invoice each week, with the VAT on it, apart from the invoice with your rides.
How are commissions between parties set?
You make those agreements yourself, per ride, per client or as the default for your company. The app records who sold a ride and who drove it, and Welltransfers settles the commission automatically.
