Taxis and private drivers in Amsterdam, booked before you arrive.
WellTransfers is the network that taxi companies, dispatchers and independent drivers in the Netherlands use to share rides. For you that means one booking, a price you see before you confirm, and a link that shows your driver approaching on a map.
WellTransfers is a Dutch company, registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce under number 97992135. It is a taxi and chauffeur network, and it is not connected to WeTransfer, the file transfer service with the similar name.
No account, nothing to install
Enter your ride, pay online and you are done. Your details are used for the ride, not to build a profile.
A price before you confirm
You see the amount for each vehicle type in the same step, and it does not change afterwards.
Drivers and vehicles approved first
Licence card, insurance and vehicle papers are checked before a driver can receive any ride at all.
Start with the question you actually have
Five guides, written for people who are arriving rather than living here. Each one says what it does not know as plainly as what it does.
Amsterdam airport taxi
Booking a taxi to or from Schiphol, where to find your car at the airport and when to leave for your flight.
Airport to city centre
What that one ride costs, why nobody can quote a single number for it, and how it compares to the train.
Taxi in Amsterdam
How taxis work here: the four ways to get one, the legal maximum fare and how to tell a licensed car from the rest.
Private driver Amsterdam
One driver for a half day, an evening or a run of appointments, agreed in advance.
Cruise terminal to Amsterdam
From the Wilhelminapier to Amsterdam: the terminal address, the metro to the station and when to leave for your ship.
We do not own the cars
A ride booked here is driven by a taxi company, a dispatcher or an independent driver connected to the network. What the platform does is make sure the booking reaches a driver who is free, approved and nearby, and that the money afterwards ends up in the right place.
The practical difference is that every ride is on somebody in particular. Documents of the driver and the vehicle are approved before they can take any work, expiry dates are held on file and the holder is reminded before one runs out, and complaints are recorded against a name rather than into a void.
The rest of this site is in Dutch. That is deliberate rather than unfinished: the pages for drivers, taxi companies and hotels are written for a Dutch market and a Dutch regulator, and a rough translation of a page about licence exams would do more harm than good.
Signing up as a driver or a company starts at aanmelden, the knowledge base is at kennisbank, and the terms and privacy policy are linked at the foot of this page. Questions in English are welcome on WhatsApp or on +31 85 130 92 78.
